I inherited my grandmother's dishes. I went to the flea market to sell. What came of it

I inherited a lot of things from my grandmother. I didn t know what to do with them, I decided to sell some of them. To do this, I first went to trade at the flea market. The impressions from the first day are mixed. I share my successes (with prices).

Hello everyone … market Hello everyone, my name is Alexandra. I first came to trade on the flea market

In one of my recent articles¹ I shared my problem with you: < b>from grandmother left a lot of dishes and other things that I did not know how to implement.

They ended up in my apartment, and I wanted to understand how to deal with them so as to give things a second life and at the same time not get caught in the network of dealers-liars They ended up in my apartment, and I wanted to understand how to deal with them in order to give things a second life and at the same time not getting caught in the network of dealers-liars

it takes a long time. It is also not easy to estimate what the cost will be adequate.

And if you sell quickly and wholesale, then I was offered 3500 rubles for everything . And this is the “ everything included cupronickel, GDR-ovsky service, Czechoslovak crystal and much more.

If you suddenly think that I was too consumerist about my grandmother s inheritance, then read the article under the first footnote, you will understand everything. I hesitated for a long time, but about some things I still doubt If you suddenly think that I was too consumerist about my grandmother's inheritance, then read the article under the first footnote, you will understand everything. I tried to sell something separately through Avito and Bag . It went hard. Therefore, it was decided to go to the Lefty Flea Market. And I do not understand them at all, I was only a couple of times. On the market & quot; Levsha & quot; was only once

In the evening, I began to collect things of different stripes, in order to understand what they would look more closely at, and what less. There were 43 positions in total (a lot of small things, including jewelry). Now I ll show you what came of it, with prices and total income.

We went on Sunday , which is not very good anymore. At the same time it was very hot . We put the car in the parking lot ( -100 rubles ) and rented a place at the table ( -200 rubles ).

We were automatically given a seat. They said they could change it if they didn t like it. Beneficiaries need to pay only 50 rubles instead of 200 rubles. If you trade from the land (there is a larger plot), then it costs 300 rubles, the beneficiaries are cheaper than the parking ticket. For 100 rubles you can be there at least all day, but many leave their cars along the side of the road before parking (you have to early arrive to have enough space). We started trading at about 9:30 … This is what our counter looked like.

As you can see, there are a lot of different things. The umbrella was originally intended for sale too, but it turned out that one cannot do without it under the scorching sun 🙂 As you can see, there are a lot of different things. sellers from among the experienced. One of them appreciated our horse whistle and bought it for 300 rubles . That is, we beat off the parking and the rental price in one fell swoop.

The horse is below in the left corner. A tourist souvenir brought to my grandmother by whom I don’t remember where it came from. Thing is of high quality Horse on the bottom in the left corner. Five minutes later, this horse was showing off on another counter and they have already asked for 1000 rubles . This is how it works 🙂

During the day, many people approached us : they touched, asked, joked, advised and just talked. But there were only three purchases:

  • horse-whistle (+ < b> 300 rubles ),
  • furminator and plastic jug (+ 250 rubles , it s very cheap)
  • and a set of salad bowls with banana earrings (+ 400 rubles ).

It turns out that for 4 hours of trading we received 950 rubles (that is, 650 rubles is our profit), released place in the apartment and gave things a second life. Sounds good.

All of our traded items (except instruments) fit into one box. But tight, as they say, with a hill. This is how it looked before the trade (scroll through the gallery) This is a box after the trade (removed the hat and wires), a quarter empty All our things that were traded (except for tools) fit into one box. Neighbor sellers as one insisted that there are very few sales today … This inspired us to repeat this experience someday. I originally treated this day as a trial (so I took a few things, but different).

From the sold, the earrings and furminator were ours (not from the things that remained from the grandmother), so it turns out that we sold the grandmother s things for 800 rubles. This is for 4 items (three of them are dishes).

This is how shopping arcades look like. A little further, you can see that the tables begin. It was there that we traded (section 1.5×1.5 meters) This is how the shopping arcade looks like. A little further, you can see that the tables begin. We were trading there (1.5×1.5 meters)

The experience turned out to be very interesting , the sellers gave good advice and were welcoming. There are only three actual sales, but there were many times more potential sales . Time flew by quickly, because almost always someone came up to the counter.

I understand that somewhere we could have done something wrong, so I will be glad if knowledgeable people can help advice how to behave at a flea market, how to sell better, how to bargain … We are still green in this regard.

This is how land trade looks like (left). The market is really big. I was here in the winter on the first weekend after the long market closure: there were few traders and people. And this time it was much more, although it was hot. This is how trade from the land looks like (left). The market is really big. Those who are interested in the fate of my grandmother s things (under the last the article had a lot of caring comments), I will say this:

I will write a separate article about how I am doing, what I decided to leave what to give and what to sell. I will share my successes and failures. But a little later, because things are moving slowly so far.

¹ – I took apart my grandmother s closet and found a lot Soviet dishes. Now I don t know what to do with it.
² – I visited the largest flea market in Russia. It s open again
