When you live in Moscow for a long time, sometimes you forget about some of its interesting places. This is exactly what happened to me in relation to one sculptural composition, which at one time, as they say, “ blew my brain. I recently visited it again, and now I am sharing what I saw with you.
The most impressive and powerful in its meaning sculptural composition that I saw in Moscow is located on Bolotnaya Square and is called < b>Children – Victims of Adult Vices.

The composition was installed in 2001 , but I saw her for the first time only a few years later – in 2007. And she was amazed at what she saw. This is a strong, not complex in design, but very true sculpture. Although at one time she collected a lot of negative reviews.
In the center of the composition there are two children blindfolded , against the background of the rest of the sculptures they are depicted beautiful and light … They put out their hands because they don t see where they are going.

As you can see, vices are depicted as symbolic images , because I did not want to portray something very creepy. This would be unpleasant for the viewer.
But in my opinion, even in the symbolic image, some of the vices turned out to be slightly unpleasant.

Each sculpture can be to consider for a long time, since the attention to detail is amazing. Something is visible only from the back of the composition.

Honestly say, not every vice can be easily solved. Not everything is so obvious. Some vices surprised me. Not all of them could understand …

In the very center is the main vice. And the fact that he is in charge is also impressive.

It is interesting that the sculptor of the composition was Mikhail Shemyakin, but the author of the idea was Yuri Luzhkov, the mayor of Moscow while. And this is new information for me. I learned this during the preparation of the article.
