Relay of goodness in Dagestan. How an Unknown Person Helped Us Believe in Miracles

The main wealth of Dagestan is its people. This phrase can often be heard or seen when writing about Dagestan. And I completely agree with her. I want to once again confirm this idea with a new story.

Hello everyone, my name is Alexandra. I am sharing with you my impressions of the trip to Dagestan Hello everyone, my name is Alexandra. I am sharing with you my impressions of traveling in Dagestan

When we traveled to Dagestan with a friend, we often met kindness and help from strangers people … And often we didn t even have to ask for it.

And we came up with a name for this. Relay of goodness . It really seemed to us that we should pass on the good that the local residents passed on to us. And we did it.

By the way, the first good deed was done 15 minutes after we left the house in Kaspiysk. We were taken to the bus station, although we did not ask. But one good deed “caught up with” we are already in Moscow … It may be trivial, but with the current disunity of people, it seemed to us a real magic.

We have a tradition of sending travel postcards to our friends. By regular mail. And this trip was no exception. But it so happened that we forgot to send one special postcard, which we found in the passport at the check-in counter just before our flight to Moscow.

By the way, postcards are still tight in Dagestan, but you can find it if you tryBy the way, postcards in Dagestan are still tight, but you can find it if you try started looking for post office . After all, it often happens that they are at the airport. The branch was found, but was closed.

Then we remembered that we still had stamps. We signed the postcard, put stamps and went to the box, but … there was no box! It was, as we understood, inside the compartment, which was closed.

The post office looked a bit like it had been closed since New Year (pay attention to Santa Claus). This is a joke, of course the Post Office looked a little like it had been closed since New Year (note Santa Claus). This is a joke, of course

We were already ready to give up the idea, when we remembered about the baton of goodness, about the responsiveness of people in Dagestan and about their humanity. Then we packed the postcard in cellophane (it was sold in it), and inside we put a piece of paper with a message-request.

“Send me, please!” We wrote on a piece of paper that we enclosed in the postcard “ Send me, please! We wrote it on a piece of paper that we put in a postcard

We went to the closed door of the post office and inserted a postcard into the gap between the door and the jamb.

Already on the plane, we thought it would be more correct to put a postcard under the door. A good thought comes after, as they say. Already on the plane, we thought it would be more correct to put a postcard under the door. A good idea comes after, as they say

two days left before the mail was opened … The door is in a narrow corridor. The postcard may fall, it may be taken for itself, or it may simply not be sent. Such thoughts came to us. But we believed in the best and let go of the situation.

The outcome is, of course, clear to you in advance. After a week and a half, a friend found a cherished postcard in her drawer! Oh, this caused a lot of joy and warmth in us, which is often lacking in the current environment. We found it a miracle ☺️

This was the magical ending of our journey This was the magical ending of our journey

Note that I passed the baton of goodness on . On my own initiative, I let a person in front of me in the line at the store, who had two products, and I had a whole cart. I would like to think that this person also did something good afterwards.

Like this, small “acts” goodness and help in Dagestan sowed seeds of goodness in me, which have sprouted already in Moscow. Traveling makes us better. Do you agree?
